About us

The Climate Change and Sustainable Development R&D Center (CCSD) was established in 2019 to “facilitate and substantially extend research, awareness and practices towards climate action, furthermore sustainable development in industries addressing the growth challenges of world from the Mongolian perspective”.

CCSD views itself one of Mongolia’s foremost R&D center which works in the various industries building capacity and implementing mitigation and adaptation mechanisms on climate action. CCSD manages its operation including the services and projects for partners, clients and researchers in the network of climate action, furthermore sustainable development.

We aspire to take Mongolia’s contribution to global climate action to new heights by non-traditional pathways.

Bringing Change

Services

We build technical capacity, share knowledge and improve coordination within and across industrial sectors of Mongolia, such as mining, environment, energy and etc., as our commitment to contribute to Mongolia’s Nationally Determined Contribution, which is a shared responsibility of the people of Mongolia for international community.

Projects

CCSD will contribute to fulfillment of the country’s objectives towards climate-resilient living by bringing logical and result oriented sustainable development solutions to create a bridge between the needs and actions.

We develop and implement projects mainly focused on climate change adaptation and mitigation. Climate envoys are one of the CCSD's drivers, appointed to voice issues to mutually find solutions for better livelihood.

Programs

CCSD initiates sustainable development programs to support designing and implementation of small-scale projects. Programs will be implemented in various sectors and sub-sectors, including public education, carbon calculation, finance and etc.
